The design is based around a central 'street' linking the classrooms, providing a breakout space where children can interact and learn from one another. The ‘street’ also allows daylight into the centre of the building reducing reliance on artificial light. By widening this space at the heart of the building the circulation space doubles as secondary teaching and activity space.

Landscaping utilises indigenous species to create the character of a meadow, helping the new building blend into the surrounding countryside.

The school is constructed using a modular cassette system manufactured off site and assembled on site, allowing an accelerated program, lower environmental impact and improved energy efficiency.
