In partnership with Balfour Beatty we designed a masterplan for Bedford Health Village, part of the South East Midlands LIFT initiative.

Our proposal was developed in close consultation with the local planners and the health authority to produce a scheme that addresses both the site and the needs of the Health Centre.

This is an important site that sits adjacent to the old town centre of Bedford. Our scheme is designed to reconnect the health village with its associated shops, restaurants, and residential elements into the civic heart of the town and respect the scale and aesthetic of the surrounding late Victorian buildings.

By re-discovering the old axis of the town, set by the adjacent municipal buildings, we reinstated this site into the town to unify the civic centre of Bedford.
